RESCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT

Oh, boy! Thats just what I want to do wait all day! So I ask for a favor: If someone cancels for Monday afternoon, could you give me a call? If not, Ill simply come in on Tuesday. Ah, but of course, they wont promise to call me. Instead Im told: Check back with us later today. So I do what Im told: Im calling to check whether you had any cancellations for Monday afternoon or any time on Tuesday. If I luck out, and there is an opening, I jump at it: Oh, thats great! Could you write me in? And if its not my lucky day? Then, I guess, Ill take a good, long book with me for Tuesdays wait in line |
